Purchased for nostalgia, as this was my first ever point & click adventure game, which got me into the genre. The characters are very poorly pixelated, but the interactive scenes still look very nice. The voice acting is good, which helps immerse you in the intriguing story. Puzzles are challenging, albeit annoyingly illogical a lot of the time. Won't even run at more than 5fps with constant strobe effects 10/10 best game. After experiencing several CRASHES within the 20-30 mins of gameplay (took several times in just 2 places, easily doubling the time) I just gave up. I loved this game back when I got it on a CD from a bargain bin and thought it would be nice to have it on my Steam library. A big mistake. There is no Steam support for this game whatsoever. DO NOT BUY. No. Don't do it. It is not worth it. I do not know if the original CD would still work though, I might have to check that out. But Steam version is just broken beyond repair.. This gaem was teh best game. So good i accidentally sauce blasted my elderly Auntie in excitement. The best file explorer for Windows in 2018. Nice game so far. Graphics are old but ok for a game from 2001, I guess. I can't save the game over the menu, but I found out that it saves automatically if you just close the game over the menu. So that is not a real problem.However, "cougar runtime engine has stopped working" is an annoying problem, which occurs usually when you hand someone over a certain bone, but also coincidentally sometimes. The latter can't be avoided, so just save often. The thing with the bone is, that you have to skip the talk with escape (even if you do that the game may crash, but after some tries you can usually make it through).Apart from these problems, which definitely need to be fixed, I really enjoy the game and its story. If you can ignore these bugs and like mystery, it is worth a try.
